I think that this fits in well with a topic that will be frequently discussed in this category — SCARY NAMES! Yes many of the elements, the fundamental building blocks of all chemicals, sound like villains that Spider Man fights. However, what’s interesting is how many everyday objects include these elements! Light bulbs, power cords, jewelry, paint, and thermometers — just to name a few! Remember, just because the name is scary doesn’t mean that its bad. We all need pen points, even if they are made of Osmium, which sounds like something Doc Oc from Spider Man would make 🙂
